EMBM1802200-50 uses a high-performance digital signal processor (DSP) for control, ensuring precise motor control and response speed.
Multiple feedback and communication interface modes
Analog input mode: Accepts ±10V analog input as a reference command, supports current (torque) mode or speed (rpm) mode operation, and ensures smooth operation at all speeds.
Incremental encoder mode: Uses incremental encoders to control speed and rectify the motor, providing digital position (A&B incremental encoders), speed and motor communication data.
Resolver feedback mode: In this mode, the servo amplifier uses the resolver mounted on the motor as a feedback source, suitable for high-precision position control.
High-speed digital axis communication: Supports high-speed digital axis communication, such as SynqNet®, providing high responsiveness and accurate position performance.
Application areas
EMBM1802200-50 is widely used in various high-precision motion control fields, including machine tools, precision grinders, semiconductor cutting, screw driving, optical air bearings, circuit board drilling machines, etc.
Modular design: Provides a variety of structural forms, such as stand-alone, modular and multi-axis, to meet the needs of different applications.
Power supply options: Supports DC power supply (low voltage DC and high voltage DC) and AC power supply (single phase or three phase 110/220AC), output current range from 4A to 120A, can drive servo motors from 30W to 30KW.
Cooling and protection: Contains DC power supply, regeneration circuit with brake resistor, closing current limit protection when powered on, fuse and cooling fan to ensure stable operation of the system.

Encoder Feedback Mode
In this operating mode, the servo amplifier operates in either current (torque) mode or speed (rpm) mode, accepts a +/-10V analog input as a reference command and commutates the motor sinusoidally for very smooth operation at all speeds. The amplifier uses an incremental encoder to control speed and commutate the motor. The absolute commutation angle is typically determined by Hall sensors or encoder commutation rails, but can also be determined by Glentek's Smart-Comm
initialization method. Resolver Feedback Mode In this operating mode, the servo amplifier operates in either current (torque) mode or speed (rpm) mode, accepts a +/-10V analog input as a reference command and commutates the motor sinusoidally for very smooth operation at all speeds. The feedback utilized by the amplifier comes from a resolver mounted on the motor.
The resolver feedback Omega Series amplifiers use an advanced, high bandwidth resolver-to-digital converter developed by Glentek. The converter provides digital position (A & B incremental encoders), velocity and motor communication data. The position information is also used to simulate incremental quadrature encoder output signals (A, B and Z) for the controller to close the position loop.
High Speed Series Communication Interface
Glentek's interface capabilities are extensive and we currently offer a SynqNet® port in our portfolio. The interface is based on the IEEE802.3 standard over the Ethernet physical layer 100Base-TX. Glentek is probably one of the largest volume suppliers of SynqNet® amplifiers and our 4096X interpolators are known for their high responsiveness and accurate position performance.
High Speed Digital Axes
Glentek has developed many custom spindle drives over the years. Axis applications include machine tool, precision grinder, semiconductor cutting, screw driving, optical air bearings, circuit board drilling, AC vector control and many more.
Standalone
The assembly consists of an amplifier module, DC power supply, regenerative circuit with brake resistor, closing current limit protection at power up, fuses, and one or more cooling fans. This type is particularly suitable for single or multi-axis applications.
Modular
This module consists of an amplifier module without a DC power supply. This type is mainly used in cost-sensitive applications where the customer provides their own DC power supply, forced air cooling and regeneration resistors.
Multi-axis
This assembly contains an open frame base with DC power supply, regeneration circuit with brake resistor, closing current limit at power on, protection, fuses and cooling fan. There are 2-axis to 6-axis assemblies. This type of assembly is used in multi-axis applications.
