As a component in Mark VIe, GE 336A4940LBP46 Ethernet switch plays an important role in the operation of the entire control system. It helps to achieve data transmission and communication within the system, ensure the normal operation of the entire power control system, and enable the control system to effectively control and manage facilities such as thermal power plants and gas turbine power plants.

Ethernet connection function
Like other components in the Mark VIe series, GE 336A4940LBP46 Ethernet switch supports Ethernet connection. This Ethernet connection function is the key to achieving communication between devices. The switch is unmanaged, which means that it does not require a separate device to configure or manage its operation. It can operate in a temperature range of -40 to 70°C (-40 to 158°F) and can be powered by redundant 18 to 36 V DC power supplies.

The switch supports a store-and-forward architecture, providing high data confidence. It also provides a soft-start feature that limits inrush current to less than 200% of normal operating current.

The switch can be mounted on a DIN rail for installation. Seven screw holes are available on existing switches to support panel mounting.

The switch uses SFP with LC connectors to connect single-mode fiber cables for new installations. GE recommends replacing MMF with SMF. Otherwise, the network will be degraded to running at only 100 MB speed.
