UCSB Mounting:
A single module that mounts directly to the panel sheet metal contains the controller. The dimensions of the module housing and mounting are shown in the following figure. UCSB Software and Communications:
Software customized for use with the controller is installed. Rungs or blocks can be run by it. Minor changes to the control software can be made online without rebooting. The I/O package and the controller's clock are synchronized to within 100 microseconds via R, S and T IONets using the IEEE 1588 protocol. Via R, S and T IONets, external data is sent to and received from the control system database in the controller. This includes process inputs and outputs of the I/O modules.

UCSB Startup LED:
The startup LED remains on throughout the startup process if there are no errors. If an error is found, the LED flashes once per second (Hz). The LED flashes for 500 milliseconds and then turns off. After the flashing phase, the LED remains off for three seconds. The number of flashes indicates the failure condition.
If the flash image is genuine but the runtime firmware has not yet been loaded, the boot LED will continue to flash at a Hz rate. After the firmware has been loaded, the boot LED turns off. If the controller cannot connect online, use the ToolboxST application to find out why the controller is blocked. After receiving the IP address, the ToolboxSTplication configures itself over Ethernet.
