  Honeywell's history in China dates back to 1935. In 1972, when U.S. President Richard Nixon visited China, he was invited by the Chinese government to recommend elite companies from ten major fields to promote two-way exchanges between the two countries and to facilitate China's modernization. Currently, Honeywell's investment in China totals more than $1 billion and employs more than 12,000 people.
