Bently Nevada 3500/82-323735-01 - STATOR INSULATION MONITORING SYSTEM
BENTLY STATOR INSULATION MONITORING SYSTEM
Origin: United States
Brand: Bently Nevada
Bently Nevada 3500/82 Stator Insulation Monitor is a device used to measure motor stator leakage current, suitable for monitoring motors up to 7.5 kV and 1000 amperes. This monitor plays an important role in the power system, especially in situations where motor speed needs to be controlled, such as fan control, to ensure that air flow meets process requirements

Product Introduction
The Bently Nevada 3500/82 stator insulation monitor is mainly used for monitoring the rotor resistance of the power grid. By changing the
combination of power contactors, the three-phase resistance of the motor can be controlled, thereby achieving precise control of the motor
speed. This type of monitor is commonly used in situations where precise control of fan speed is required, such as industrial cooling systems,
to ensure that air flow meets process requirements.
Operating principle and function
The monitor is operated through a local PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) and DCS (Distributed Control System). The local PLC is
responsible for controlling the rotor resistance of the power grid, receiving signals from the power contactor and auxiliary contactor, and
increasing or decreasing the rotor resistance according to these signals to adjust the fan speed. To reduce malfunctions and failures, the
local PLC can be removed, all DI, DO, and feedback can be handed over to DCS, and a PLC like program can be written in DCS
